If you have been thinking of buying a home in 2017, you’re probably a little frustrated with the lack of good homes out there. We feel that too, so we have developed some strategies for finding homes for our buyers to see that aren’t even on the market right now. 

The first thing we do after having a consultation with a buyer is sit down and call through the neighborhoods they are targeting. We look for sellers who plan on selling at some point but haven’t actually listed their property for sale yet. This is how we get buyers in front of sellers with no other competition.

Another thing we do is look through all the FSBO (For Sale By Owner) listings we know about. We call those homeowners to see if they are a good fit for our buyer. Finally, we do something that most other agents don’t take the time to do. We look at expired and withdrawn listings to see if there are any hidden gems out there in the areas you’re looking in. These are people who had their homes listed for sale at one point, but failed to sell for one reason or another.

The one thing that all of these methods have in common is that they get you in front of buyers with little to no competition. Not many agents utilize these goldmines, but we are happy to if it means helping our buyers find their dream home.
